Trailside Galleries is pleased to have been named the "Best Western Art Gallery" in the 2009 newspaper issue of Planet Jackson Hole's, "Best of Jackson Hole". In a survey with well over 600 ballots, Jackson residents picked Trailside over 30 other fine art galleries. We are very pleased to have earned such an honor and would like to thank all those who voted to support Trailside and our many talented artists.

Trailside Galleries is pleased to announce that contemporary wildlife artist, Andrew Denman, was selected as the Lanford Monroe Artist in Residence at the National Museum of Wildlife Art in Jackson, Wyoming. Denman shared his painting techniques with visitors to the NMWA during his residency each day, as well as conducted the Museum's Art Alive @ 12:05 program on Wednesday, January 28. In addition to his time spent at the Museum, Denman traveled to area schools to impart his knowledge to aspiring young artists. In between his various in town appearances, Denman was able to visit with us here in the gallery to give us an in depth view of his unique style and technique that is so gingerly applied to each of his paintings. Having the opportunity to visit with Andrew was extraordinary as the passion and dedication this young artist embodies is extremely evident. We thank Andrew for this opportunity to visit with him and invite all who are interested in his work to visit his page on our website or to please stop into the gallery!

Trailside Galleries has a fabulous selection of fine art that is perfect for anyone passionate about the sporting lifestyle. From canvas to sculpture, there are a great number of our artists whose passions for fishing, hunting and wildlife are evident in their work. Renowned sculptor, George Northup is well-known for his functional sculptures. From lamps to bookends, his pieces capture the essence of the sporting lifestyle as he often renders deer, trout and Labrador Retrievers as his subjects. An additional artist we would like to mention is landscape painter, Bernard Vetter, who is renowned for his fly-fishing subjects. Artwork by each of these artists can be viewed on our website or you can contact your sales consultant for any further information!

Trailside Galleries is pleased to feature some of the finest western furniture artisans in the country. John Gallis has fashioned custom furniture for more than 35 years and has since owned and designed furniture for Norseman Designs West in Cody since 1995. John's work is grain, and the customer's wishes govern his design, bringing together imaginative sensibility and striking elegance. Brad Greenwood makes wood furniture the old fashioned way--by hand. He works primarily with California hardwoods--walnut, oak, and elm--to create one-of-a-kind fine furniture. Always mindful to maintaining harmony and balance with nature, Brad only uses storm-downed trees or trees that no longer produce fruit or nuts. Inspired by the history of the Old West and the cowboy way of life, artisan Mike Roths of Bear Paw Designs has been designing and building fine furniture since 1979. His award winning designs are created using hardwoods, leather, and hand-forged iron. Each piece of furniture starts as a drawing and careful attention is given to detail and functionality. Cappy White is a mostly self-taught artist who has been building furniture of all types for twenty years. Using reclaimed woods and hand-collected native sandstone that is prevalent around his home in Southwestern Colorado, Cappy White has blended craftsmanship and art to create Old Stones Furniture. Hand-rubbed finishes enhance the natural beauty of the ancient timbers, which in turn, beautifully embrace the delicately stacked stones.
