Trailside Galleries is pleased to open its summer art season with three distinct showcases featuring new works by painters Bruce Cheever, David Dibble and Robert Moore. While the artists have contrasting styles, their choice of subject matter - namely landscape, architecture, and rural scenes, provides a cohesive and flowing theme to each individual showcase.
Interested in art as a child, Bruce Cheever embarked on a career as a fine artist after spending many years as an illustrator. It was during those years that he discovered his affinity for tonalism and luminism. Bruce's atmospheric and bucolic landscapes are suggestive of the Renaissance era. Whether painting a rural scene in the American West, or a pastoral European landscape, his painting style has emerged with a uniqueness of its own.
A body of work consisting of approximately 8-12 new paintings which will hang in the gallery during the month of June.
