Trailside Galleries is pleased to present its annual Western Classics exhibition and sale  beginning August 12  and continuing through August 24.   An Open House is scheduled for  Thursday, August 15 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. Featured artists include members of the Cowboy Artists of America and other nationally renown western, representational artists.

As in past years, the show will focus on traditional western themes and historic subject matter  as well as more contemporary or “new west”  scenes.  Some of the well known artists featured in  the show include Steve Atkinson, Shawn Cameron, Bruce Cheever,  Nicholas Coleman,  Jenness Cortez, John DeMott, Robert Duncan, Deborah Fellows, Bruce Greene, Z.S.Liang, Dan Mieduch,  S.C. Mummert, Brenda Murphy, Bill Nebeker, Alfredo Rodriguez, Howard Rogers, Mian Situ, Morgan Weistling and Jeremy Winborg.

For more than 50 years, Trailside Galleries has endeavored  to preserve and interpret the heritage of the American west.   Today, the gallery continues to   represent many of the finest traditional  western painters and sculptors in the country but has also embraced the “new west” created by a younger, new generation of artists who are portraying a more contemporary viewpoint.  Western Classics brings together an array of creative styles and themes inspired by the American West. Whether expressing the landscapes, wildlife, cultures or peoples of the West, the artists tell a vivid and colorful story, both historic and contemporary.
