Jackson, WY - Trailside Galleries is pleased to present “FROM THE WILD” a special showcase of new works by acclaimed Dutch wildlife painter Renso Tamse. The new collection of work will hang in the gallery from September 7- 20 and the artist will be appearing in person at the gallery during an Open House on Saturday, September 19 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm.

Born and raised in Rotterdam, Netherlands, Tamse was drawing and painting by the tender age of 4.  From this young age, his sole ambition was to be an artist and it was the natural world which most excited his interest. He took courses at the Academy of Visual Arts, where the teaching tended to be skewed to the abstract and modern. However, what spoke to him was realism. Today, the overriding passion of this urban artist is to capture the mystical resonances of nature in the wild.
In the composition of his paintings, accurate draftsmanship is paramount in the representation of the animals, coupled with infusing the work with life and soul. In order to understand and experience these wild habitats more profoundly, he is a regular traveler to North America, Great Britain, Switzerland, Germany, Scandinavia and the Pyrenees. The fairytale woods of the Czech Republic count among his favorite destinations where the flora and fauna prove to be an inexhaustible source of inspiration.

This new collections of watercolor works from Tamse will include animal species from around the world including African Elephants, Siberian Tigers as well as North American mammals.
